BOOKING
Bookings will be considered as confirmed only after receiving reconfirmation - a contract - by mail. The contract means that the clients have accepted the general conditions listed below, mainly those concerning the prices, cancellations and payment conditions.
PAYMENT
When making a reservation, the traveller shall confirm it by paying 60% of the price (unless specified otherwise in the program). The remaining balance of the full price shall be paid not less than 30 days prior to the beginning of travel, or documents shall be provided which fully secure the payment of the total price by the balance due date. When making a reservation 30 days before departure, the traveler shall confirm it by paying 100% of the price (unless specified otherwise in the program).
Payment should be made by a bank transfer.
In the case when the parties agree on the payment of a certain amount in advance, the latter is in the end deducted from the final sum of the package tour. Thereby the party confirms to take the package with the agency in question. In the case when the party decides not to take the package, the agency is entitled to 50 percent of the sum paid in advance.
CATEGORIES OF SERVICES
Every travel arrangement clearly specifies on what services are included in the total price and which are not and are clearly visible to the traveler under sections INCLUDED and NOT INCLUDED. Specific services are to be considered extra and are not included in the price of the travel.
CANCELLATION OF TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS BY THE TRAVELLER:
If the traveller cancels travel arrangements, company shall retain an amount from the total price as follows (unless otherwise specified in the program-hotels):
• up to 45 days prior to departure 15% of the price
• 44 - 30 days prior to departure 30% of the price
• 29 - 15 days prior to departure 50% of the price
• 14 - 0 days prior to departure 100% of the price
• after departure 100% of the price
These costs shall also apply to a change of the departure date and of the accommodation establishment made at the traveler’s request, as well as to other such major changes.
BOOKING FEES
Booking fees are non-refundable.
CANCELLATION BY COMPANY OR CHANGES TO THE TRAVEL PROGRAM
Company reserves the right to change the date and/or time of departure by unforeseen circumstances, and also the right to change the route of travel if travel conditions change (natural disasters, adverse weather conditions or other circumstances beyond Company’s control), without being liable for damages.
Company has in such case the possibility to offer the traveller its services in another form - substitute with alternative arrangements of comparable value at no extra costs or provide a full or partial refund if essential elements of the package, other than price, are changed significantly.
Company shall not be liable for changes resulting from unforeseen circumstances during the journey. In such cases, it may provide services as dictated by circumstances. Company reserves the right to cancel the travel program at the latest 5 days prior to departure. The total amount shall be returned to the traveler.
ENTRANCE FEES FOR SIGHTS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM
All entrance fees included in the program and purchased by the agency in advance for the traveler are non-refundable. In case of bad weather, entrance fees are non-refundable unless the attraction is closed due to weather conditions.
CLAIMS:
Any claim has to be communicated to our agency during the stay or within a maximum of 7 days after end of arrangement with the agency. No claim will be accepted afterwards. All claims should be sent in written form to the agency.
LEGAL JURISDICTION:
Negotiation is considered a general method of solving problems or discrepancies concerning the fulfilment of the contract. In case that the results of such negotiations are not found satisfactory by either of the parties, courts in the Slovenia are considered the courts of appeal and arbitration.
OTHERS
When rates on the market increase substantially (fuel, hotels etc) the agency has the right to change the rates published. Prices are informative and are subject to change without notice. “Gourmetravel” is not responsible for any change in prices that may occur due to a decision made by the administration of the individual sites.
